Tailor Sage Intacct to your needs
Did you know you can update many options within My Preferences (found under Your Name > My Preferences in the top right corner)? Whether you are brand new to Sage Intacct or a veteran user, it’s worth a quick review to ensure your settings here are still appropriate and current. Here are a few of our favorite user preferences:
- Email Preferences and Notifications – Add an email signature or turn on notifications for checklists, stored reports, approval workflow notifications, and more.
- Display Preferences – Select a specific dashboard or page to appear when you first log in to Sage Intacct. You can also update the order of modules, entity colors, and the number of records per page, so you can stop scrolling through multiple pages and instead simply scroll down.
- Check Preferences for Alignment and Signature – Add your signature to checks automatically upon approval within Sage Intacct. Also, select to print a test page here to verify check printing alignment to your printer.
- General Preferences – Update your report filters to always display inactive values or manage your bookmarks to fit your needs.
- Collaborate – Add a profile picture and select when you want to receive emails from collaborate activity for a more personalized experience.
What’s new with Release 2023 R1?
This quarter, Sage Intacct focused on four main areas with this release: automation, usability, visibility, and clarity. You can watch Sage Intacct’s Release Video or read the 2023 R1 Release Notes to learn more about all enhancements in this release. Here are our top three:
- AP Bill Automation – This release includes the highly anticipated AP automation functionality! For each bill document submitted, the system creates a corresponding Sage Intacct bill in a draft state and attaches the original bill document. Using artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), Intacct fills in bill details, automatically matching vendor information and including data captured from the uploaded or emailed bill, such as the bill number, date, line items, and amounts GL account as well as dimension coding, based on past transactions.

Please Note: This functionality has a small per-bill fee and does not apply to companies with HIPAA compliance.
- Project Billing Update – The new “State” column in Preview shows which transactions have been paid or approved, so you can make easier billing decisions for Employee expenses or AP bills to be included in the project bills.
- GL Trial Balance Report View Updates – On the Trial balance report (General Ledger > All tab > Reports > Trial balance), a new “show opening and closing balances as debits and credits” checkbox lets you choose how to show opening and closing balances.
